Clear Your Clutter
Spring Clean with feng shui and you'll get more than just a clean house. In her syndicated column,
RX for Living, Nancilee Wydra answers "Nan Landers" like questions with real life strategies.
"The location of clutter in a home often points in the direction of that person's challenges." Says Nancilee
Entrance of a home - Fear of relationships
Inside a closet - Unwilling to examine emotions
In a kitchen - Resenting or overwhelmed with care giving
Next to a bed - Desire for change or escape
On a desk - Frustration or fear of not being in control
In a corner behind a door - Detachment from others
Under a piece of furniture - Appearances are important
In a cellar - Procrastinates
In an attic - Believes the past is better than the present
In a garage - Difficulty with achieving goals
All over - Angry at others and self
Nancilee recommends this simple process to clear out the clutter that seems to be preventing your best and highest self to emerge. Buy or use an existing egg timer. Set aside five minutes during your best time of
day. Some of us like mornings and some evening, it doesn't matter which you choose. What matters is that you don't try to do this when you are stressed or tired.
You must be consistent. At the same time every day set the egg timer and begin sorting, tossing or whatever you have to do to remove the clutter. When the timer goes off stop even if you want to go on! After 100
days you will experience change in yourself and your surroundings.
